Finally, an app to weed out the weak on social media. A new app is looking to romantically match folks who are verified Twitter users. Blue, by Loveflutter, has launched a new version of their existing dating app. It only allows Twitter users with that little blue tick to search for love, and only amongst their fellow blue-tick holders. The original Loveflutter has been around for awhile. It creates matches based on shared interests (innovative!). Now it focuses on analysing tweets and Twitter activity to match people. Twitter Plans to Broadcast Live Video 24 Hours a Day

The company’s COO and CFO Anthony Noto has announced that in collaboration with new media company Bloomberg, Twitter will offer 24/7 video news broadcasts on the platform starting this fall. The social network plans to air live video 24 hours a day, 7 days a week inside its apps and desktop site, building on the 800+ hours it aired in the first three months of 2017. “We will definitely have 24/7 content on Twitter,” Noto said during an extensive interview about the company’s live video strategy last week. “Our goal is to be a dependable place so that when you want to see what’s happening, you think of going to Twitter.
